    GFWL unable to connect to LIVE in Fable 3 (error code 0x80151906)


    When I attempt to activate my key for Fable 3 on PC, I will get error code 0x80151906 saying that it could not connect to the network. I've had no issues with other games such as Halo 2 Vista, and was even able to activate Fallout 3 on GFWL a few days ago
    with no issues, the problem only seems to occur with Fable 3. I've tried reinstalling the game, the various GFWL components, disabled my firewall, running the game in Windows 7 compatibility mode as Administrator, but nothing seems to work and I'm at my wit's
    end as I need to be able to connect to LIVE through GFWL to be able to play with a friend.

    I have been able to activate games, yes. I activated Fallout 3 a couple of days ago, and was able to activate Kane and Lynch: Dead Men last night with no issues at all

    I have this exact same issue!!!!! I recently got my new PC and after I installed Dirt 2 again I entered my games for windows live code and then I get this exact error code: 0x80151906. I can't connect to the online to play races, I want this to be fixed microsoft please!!!!!!

    GFWL Client Error - "There was an error retrieving your purchase history"

    I'm encountering this as well when trying to download & install DLC for Fable 3. Initially, it would give an instantaneous error when I tried to download in-game or if I launched GFWL. So I uninstalled both Marketplace and GFWL-Redistributable, and then
    installed the version from here:

    www.xbox.com/.../DownloadClient

    Following this, launching the game led to it updating the GFWL client again.

    This resolved the instantaneous connection failure, but that was replaced by downloads just being stuck at 0% in-game and getting the "There was an error retrieving your purchase history." error in Marketplace.

    I've tried launching Marketplace as Admin, but that has no effect. And I'm already running Windows 7 so Win 7 compatibility mode wouldn't make sense.

    I hope a solution to this is still being sought! Thank you.
