    GFWL Sign In not working (PC, Fable 3, multiple computers)


    Hello,

    I recently bought two copies of Fable 3.

    This game requires Games For Windows Live (GFWL) to play.

    However, when starting the game and logging in with our perfectly typed (checked a million times), we get the notification "The windows live ID you entered does not exist or your password is incorrect" (as seen in https://i.imgur.com/Qt3f9lp.png).
    This is 100% the correct sign-in information.

    Furthermore, when clicking "Network status", the information states that there is no ethernet connection, whereas both PC's have perfect internet connection with no issues.

    We have tried port forwarding all ports that we could find.

    We both run windows 10, and we tried uninstalling the GFWL live distributible and the marketplace, restarting the pcs, then installing the GFWL again with compatibility mode for windows 7. Then restarting the pcs again, and then trying, same result every
    time.

    Always the fake network issues,

    We would love some help, otherwise this is 33 euroes down the drain because of faulty software

    Common Problem with Fable 3.

    GFWL shut down permanently.

    Yep, microsft is *** all fable 3 on PC buyers.

    GFWL Client Error - "There was an error retrieving your purchase history"

    So, just tried to load up my Fable 3 install that used to work and couldn't load save due to DLC authentication (its all installed).

    tried to reinstall gfwl but no matter what I do I get the,

    "There was an error retrieving your purchase history. Please sign out and try again later"

    All I want to do is re-authenticate/download my Fable III DLC, I have tried uninstall gfwl/ reboot / reinstall also tried that with compatibility win 7 settings on gfwl client....

    Such a crock that this is even a problem. Don't we love digital content and the cloud, This makes me even less likely to ever buy anything from the windows 10 marketplace, what a bitter flavor of loss :/

    Purchase History Fail preventing in-game downloads.

    Okay.

    1. Delete Local Content for Fable III (I did this thru Steam interface itself)

    2. Uninstall GFWL and Redistrubutable (did this thru Apps and Features of Windows 10)

    3. Reboot system.

    4. Reinstall Fable III (thru Steam. long wait. large download)

    5. Redownload gfwlivesetup.exe and run. (it ended up being gfwlivesetup(2).exe as I neglected to delete the previous two attempts.)

    6. Open GFWL and sign in under my .live e-mail account with all my previously earned achievements and attempt to find purchase history. (Fail)

    7. Run Fable for the first time and see no compatibility issues to combat. (Game requested I close the game to download an update to the GFWL client built into the game itself.)

    8. Closed Fable III (update goes into automatic run, forces closing of open GFWL of step 6 to continue.)

    9. Relog into Fable check the ingame download room. (Find same error as I've always had).

    10. Write up this comment.

    11. Close Fable III down as I await a reply.

    fable 3 zdp zero day protection cant connect to servers

    Yay another GFWL problem.

    Try this:

    In the Fable 3 install directory there should be a ZDP folder.

    Run zdp.exe from that folder and things should work correctly.

    Shortcuts for the game probably won't work - you might need to run zdp.exe each time.
