GFWL Marketplace - An unknown error has occurred when retrieving keys

I'm having an issue with the GFWL Marketplace client. My purchase history updates fine and I can view all of my purchased content, but when I try to retrieve the keys for my content, I receive an error. The error states "An unknown error has occurred"

I have installed the GFWL Marketplace client on my brand new laptop with a fresh install of Windows 10 and the error still occurs.

I'm having the same problem just bought SSFIV AE and when I try to get my game activation key in GFWL marketplace it just says an unknown error has occurred.

I thankfully had a document created long ago with my keys but I am in the same boat. The marketplace shows no serial keys and instead says: "An unknown error has occurred" for both Game Activation keys and Live Access Codes.

 

First off, I'm jealous - you have ITSP through GFWL. I have the Steam version where GFWL was patched out.

Is that the only one that's having an issue? Are you getting an error at the top saying there was an error retrieving your purchase history?

It looks like whatever server MS is using isn't responding at all:

No, I am not getting an error at the top. My purchase history updates fine. I have 130 pieces of content attached to my account and when I open the GFWL Marketplace client, it will count through all 130 pieces and add them to my client.

The only error I am having is with the key retrieval. It gives me that same error for every piece of content.

Microsoft seemingly doesn't give a flying *** about anyone who bought anything on GFWL. Ive been through numerous tech support agents and still have no resolution regarding the error retrieving purchase history.

 

I can't even get onto the app or get it to work how did you?? it says I need Live sign in assistant!!

 

I'm also having this issue. I want to get my key for Bioshock 2 so that I can add it to my Steam library and get the remastered version of it. Sadly, I'm just getting the error.

First, let me offer my sincerest apologies. Crouton had reached out to me shortly before he created this thread over private message. I had it set on the back burner to take care of, and then the Xbox One S launched. With that came a lot of other things
that made me forget this happened.

The client freezes at the login screen shortly after I submit my ID and password.

 

Is there no other way to retrieve our product keys?
