    getting the go to www.xbox.com/ipv6 message in network settings


    normally play on router , but every now and then roomate forgets to pay bill so i use cell phone hotspot for day or two. got new phone tho and it wont fully connect. it connects but as ipv4 and says the toredo message as well and says unable to get Nat.. need help fixing this.what do i do

    While an access point is a workaround in some situations, it is not the most appropriate network to play with.

    You get this message because the network does not have ipv6 active and the network ports are being limited or blocked.

    Your ISP can do port forwarding but I don't think they can do that for a phone.

    Xbox One and IPv6

    It'll generally just show the IPv4 IP address on the main screen, but you can check if it's IPv6 enabled by going to Settings>Network>Advanced Settings.

    This page has more details on IPv6 for Xbox One. Do you have access to get to the router management page, or is it wholly
    managed by Spectrum?

    Your ISP has to support IPv6. Then you have to make sure IPv6 it is turned on in your router settings.

    Then go on your Xbox. Check Settings > General
    > Network settings. On the right under Current Network Status should show if IPv6 is on.

    On your network settings it will state IPV4 or IPV6, IPV6 is recommended for online play, you would get better latency ect.

    It will be dependent on your internet providers settings as to how you would be required to amend your current network settings
