getting new codes after talking with support

I spoke with someone on support because the codes for gears of war and gears of war 3 that came with my gears of war 4 disc are not downloading because they say it's the wrong region. the guy on support said to post on here to contact promotions team to
get these codes replaced so that i can actually use them and play the games i paid for. He said to quote this reference number ([Mod Removed]) as proof that i had spoken with someone. If someone would get back to me as soon as possible I would
greatly appreciate it.

gears of war free redeemable code missing!!! please help

i had received a code a while back as many Xbox preview members did to get the games for free however it has gone missing with the new update. after talking to a support member she told me to post my issue here and someone would issue me a new code.

 

I still have not received my code

After talking with Xbox live support THREE different times and getting the run around they have lastly referred me this forum. I purchased the game to play on Windows 10 and still have yet to receive a code for the game. Either give me the code or give me
my money back.

 

The codes themselves are universal, but the games are region locked. What region is your account set for and what region are you physically located in?

In order to download region locked games, your account region has to match your physical location and you have to be in a region where the games are available.

 

i am in the UK, but i created the account whilst in the US. If that is the case, how come the code for gears of war 2 worked whilst 1 and 3 didn't? I have dowloaded things in both the UK and the US and have never had this problem.

 

Not all of the Gears games were made region locked, just 1 and 3. You shouldn't run into region locking issues on One games, but a lot of titles on the 360 are region locked so you may run into issues downloading them.

 

Ok, so how do i get codes that i can download, as i have paid for the whole package?

 

New codes would do the same thing. As I said, the codes are universal so those aren't region locked. You would need to migrate your account region to the UK in order for them to work. Update Microsoft account if Moving to a New Country or Region

 

I've already done that and my xbox says that it is already in the UK region.

 

You mention up-thread that your account was created in the USA. If that's the case, double check on your >>Microsoft Commerce<< account that your
billing account also matches your current physical location. Like Smwutches has been saying, the Gears games are pretty finicky and if everything isn't set right, they won't necessarily work. Also, if you haven't, try redeeming the code on the website too.
