Getting less Xbox series controller warranty period when registered on site.

the xbox controller has a 90-day warranty, what happens is that your xbox or xbox controller is not national, and the record you are looking at is not an xbox or xbox controller manufactured in your country. that is, the same sequence of serial numbers is used in other countries, look behind your xbox and you will see the seal where it informs where it was manufactured.

As you mentioned that you registered i believed it was an elite controller, but standar controllers have a different warranty period and all warranty periods start from the purchase date

To my understanding, the Elite Series 2 controller has a 1 year warranty. If you are experiencing issues within the warranty period, you can request a repair/replacement service.

To get started, sign in at Device services,
select Register new device, and then follow the instructions.

After you've registered, you'll see the warranty status for your device. If it's within warranty, repairs are free. If your device is out of warranty, you'll be charged a repair fee.

For some reason, I was able to register my Series 2 under my Microsoft account when I bought it. I can go in a request a replacement from there, but not through the Xbox support site where it tells me the serial number doesn't exist.

Try logging into your Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com , register your controller under devices if you haven't, and hope it recognizes you have the extended warranty when you request a replacement
