getting error XBOS1005 when trying to redeem code for Fallout3

Hi, I'm , trying to redeem the code for Fallout3 (attached to the box of Fallout4 , purchased in Malaysia) and constantly getting the above error.
My account () is for Russian region, I don't want to change it since I have subscriptions , games and other perks. How can I apply the code for my account?

Hello, i have a problem with my reedem code. I am trying since yesterday to redeem my code but i am getting the same error:

You can't you live in an non xbox live region

To download fallout 3 you have to match your account region to your actual region

But since you don't live in an xbox live region that's not possible

 

I live in this region for a long term (about 1 year) , but I don't want to switch my account cause I'll lose my subscriptions, games and some other perks.

When I bought this game bundle I surely wasn't aware of such subtleties. Why should I now give in with this defective purchase that I can't use 100%.

Can any support (xbox, bethesda) simply disable my current redeem code and provide me with another one that will fit my region?

Your account regiom must reflect your actual region

The game itself is regiom locked

Meaninf you would be betterr off waiting till you move back to your region

Region locked comtent doesnr transfer between regions

 

A new code wont work because irs your physical and account region that has to match

 

ok, so when my physical and account region would match (e.g. when I come back to my country) , this redeem code will work? or the only way to use it is moving my account to the region where I bought the game and, being physically here, redeem the code?

if so then why it's so sophisticated!?) I payed for the game and just want to play it, and I'm becoming regionally discriminated instead)

 

No you have to comply with international laws along with ms

It's not discrimination

You have to remember you are bound by your local laws

Not just your home country

 

You are only allowed the local version. While in another country

Also as long as your accounts region reflects your actual region the code will work however once you redeem it . It is locked to that's region since this is only a temporary visit you might as well wait since the content won't follow you if you delete it
from your hd

You might as well wait till you return home
