Getting error code 0x80070422 while trying to install some games on PC (beta) App.

I have seen this during a google search. Worth a try?

Restart Network List Service

Quite a few users confirmed that restarting the Network List Service fixed the problem for them.

More specifically, all you need to do is turn this service off and then turn it back on or simply restart it. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Go to Start > type ‘run’ > double click the first result to launch Run
2. Now type services.msc > launch Windows Services
3. Locate Network List Service > right-click on it > select Restart. You can also select Stop and then Restart.

I finally got this fixed. I did two things and I'm not sure which one fixed it, so I'm sharing both in the order that I did them.

Reinstall Gaming Services using powershell.
Found here in the "still having problems section".

1. Launch powershell as an administrator and enter “get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”
2. In the same powershell window, enter “start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”
3. Install the app on that page, including accepting the UAC prompt when shown.
4. Try installing the game again.

I left gaming service to download/reinstall before I went to bed. It is only like 5MB but it was still downloading like 8 hours later when I got up, so I started researching and found

this reddit post about slow Windows Store download speeds.

1. Go to Windows Update (just search it in the Start Bar)
2. Click Advanced Options
3. Click Delivery Optimization
4. Click Advanced Options
5. Enable "Limit how much bandwidth is used for downloading updates in the background" and then push the slider to 100% (yes enable the limit, trust me)

One extra note is that the 1st game I tried downloading was the Gears 5 Preload. I cancelled it once I noticed it was working and I was then able to install any game I tried. This probably has nothing to do with fixing the issue but wanted to share just
in case there is some special check or download that is not present for other games that might have fixed this issue.

Hello everyone, in case someone has the same problem as me, what I did it is
changing the location of your Microsoft Store to the country where you got those games or link to your account. This solved my problem.

Sorry to hear . But some background services, such as Windows Update, may not work properly. Please try to stop this in an admin command line (e.g. by entering cmd in Cortana, then right-clicking on the found result and selecting "Run as Administrator"):

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

Then rename these directories:

ren C:-Windows-SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

ren C:-Windows-System32-catroot2 Catroot2.old

and restart the above services:

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

Restart Computer - Search for Windows System Update and install it if necessary - Search for Store App Update and install it if necessary - Restart Computer - Try AoE HD
