Getting error code 0x00000001. I am unable to install Administrator games on PC with game pass.

About 3 or so days ago I installed The Outer Worlds on my PC, beat it and so I uninstalled it today and was going to installed a new game. I found Alan Wake and thought I'd give it a try. When I went to install it, it gave me an error. So I thought maybe
it was some compatibility issue. So I tried Blair Witch, same error. Alien, same error. PES 2020, same error. So I went around trying random games to see if they were all giving this error and found that the Zoo game would install and The Long Dark I was able
to install. That's when I realized the issue was with any game that said "This game requires Administrator approval"

***Additional info: I al tried reinstalling The Outer Worlds and it gave me the error

The only new software addition I made to my computer since installing The Outer Worlds is I added Zone Alarm firewall which I've since uninstalled***

*So I searched online and tried everything suggested.

*I reset the xbox app.

*I uninstalled and reinstalled gaming services.

*I uninstalled my firewall.

*I disabled Windows Firewall.

*I turned off Real-time protection.

*I checked that my region was set to USA.

*I checked that my account was an admin account, it is.

*I ran sfc /scannow in the CMD with no errors.

*I ran windows update troubleshooter.

*I checked for and installed Windows Updates.

*I ran some ResetWUEng script I found on a forum which resets Windows Updates.

*I ran a command I saw on a forum that was something like DIME.exe /Online..blahblah health something

*I tried running the xbox app as admin by searching xbox and then holding ctrl+shift+Enter

My account is the only account on this PC. I am not sure what else I can try except completely reinstalling Windows which might be my only option left?

The only way I managed to get this problem to go away way to reset my computer completely with a fresh install of Windows 10. This fixed the error, but only temporarily. It worked for awhile, I was able to install games. However, I am getting the same
error again. Not sure how to fix this or what is causing this issue.

I am also having the same issue and i have also tried most of the listed items by OP.

I was only able to install FORZA which is working fine and then couldnt install anything else.

I am using using Windows 10 (Version 2004) on a Razer Blade 15 Laptop i7-8750H with 16GB ram & GTX1060 MaxQ.

I have the same problem, they show me the error 0x00000001 and write to me that "Installation requires administrator
approval" I cannot install any game. please help quicklyI tried uninstalling applications, granting administrator
privileges and my account also has an administrator, I searched many forums and found no answer anywhere

Hi Tali,

There is only one account which is administrator account in my computer, but I still cannot download the games that require administrator approval. There is not option that run as administrator for neither Microsoft store nor Xbox(beta) APP. The error code I got is 0x00000001. I've tried to reset the game service in windows setting and installed all the optional updates for Windows 10, but it still doesn't work.

Hello, I am having the same frustrating error when trying to install Game Pass games. After doing some testing I noticed that I can install games that don't say "Administrator Approval required for installation". I think there is a bug where the app is failing to request administrator approval so it just errors and doesn't install the game.

Games such as Sea of thieves or Broken age that don't require administrator approval install fine for me.
