Getting error 800700e8 trying to download Chapter 2 of King's quest.

@Kyle, yes I did uninstall everything except my saved games. Was instructed to by Xbox Support via Chat . No luck after reinstalling.

 

Thanks for getting their attention. I'm noticing everything I've downloaded today references Chapter 1, and I'm not sure we've even downloaded Chapter 2. Both compatibility packs say they are to play Chapter 1 in the complete collection, and "Chapter 1"
is advertised on the Xbox 360 home screen. The picture looks more like Chapter 2, so I'm wondering if someone's finger slipped, and the system is looking for the wrong files.

 

Also having this issue with the 800700EB error code on the complete edition.

Make sure you have cleared your cache, 3 times in a row.. Restore your connection to factory defaults (if you use Wi-Fi), not the console, but your Wi-Fi connection, by opening your connection as if you are going to "Test Xbox Live connection" but instead
select configure network > additional settings > restore to factory defaults > yes. Then restart your Xbox, and re-connect (you will need to re-enter the Wi-Fi password again) make sure you have COMPLETELY deleted all that content from the memory unit, or
hard drive. And attempt to re-download it. Now if this does not work, you may want to do a restore on the console, format the hard drive, and do an initial set-up. Hope this help.. Good luck to you all..

 

Before a restore, I would wait on it a bit as well though..

 

I wish i had found this thread earlier. It just occurred to me that it's probably an xbox 360 only problem and then found this thread right away. I had issue on launch day and yesterday spent over 4 hours trying everything talked about here including completely
reinstalling the game. I sent email to *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** asking if they have actually tested it. Its good to know it appears to be a global problem.

 

I also have this problem. Had a great chat yesterday with Xbox 360 support, but even they weren't able to solve the problem. I own a seasonpass. Downloaded, installed both compatibility packs, but keep getting the same 800700e8 error. Please guys, solve
this issue. I really, really, really would like to play this new chapter.

Thanks VT!! The Complete Collection version download is now also appearing free online at the link below. Only works if you already have complete collection installed. Click through to purchase, it'll show as "FREE" and send it to your 360.

The workaround is great for those with the complete edition. That will solve half of my issue.

For the season pass the workaround says to contact support, but the contact support link just tunnels you through the support articles. I see links to their twitter, facebook, and forums. I'll need to explore those later.

It sounds like they're working on a title update to fix the issue for anyone content to wait.

 

I knew there must be a missing download for us. I got a different error code when I tried to download directly through the Xbox, but that link to the marketplace worked. Ch2 is being pushed to my console now.

To clarify, are you trying to download the content through in-game or through the Xbox Marketplace?

 

It's the in game download that is giving the error.
