Getting an extended warranty in UK?

Just asking any UK players about their experience to get an extended warranty when purchased from a third party seller such as Argos or BT. I've heard it's not possible for some reason so would just like to clarify thanks.

Hello Linadis, in United Kingdom the Microsoft warranty is one year for console and one year accessories, if stores do not offer this type of warranty extension service, may be related to the laws of each country, or because it is simply not something that is commercially viable for them.

I've had an Elite for almost 3 years and still looks and works great. Also you should get an extended warranty in the UK and all.

The MS extended warranty in the UK is £59 for 1 extra year, maybe not such good value?

different countries have different rules, in the UK new tech has a 1 year warranty from date of purchase. then you can also purchase extended warranty for new products.

If used but bought from a shop/retail unit then the minimum warranty is 3 months but alot of stores in the UK will bump it up to 1 year (this kind of warranty is not a manufacturers warranty but the store itself).

warranties to not transfer to a new owner if you then sell it on.
