    Getting a refund on a sent gift?


    Earlier today I sent a gift but I made a mistake. The code has NOT been redeemed and I am looking where I can get a refund as it stated I can get one within 14 days of the purchase as long as the code has not been redeemed. I have looked on the orders
    page and I see nothing about getting a refund.

    Getting a refund

    Buying a US console won't fix it. The account region has to match your physical location so the region of the console won't matter.

    Would purchasing an XBOX actually FROM the US solve this? Assuming you own an XBOX from your country of origin and that XBOX is regionally coded, then maybe getting an XBOX regionally coded for the US market would work?

    Obviously getting a refund would probably be your first choice, but you did knowingly download the US content, and most of the games have a disclaimer stating what countries or versions they are available in.

    Hope you can find a solution!

    • Sign in to the gift card history page in your Microsoft account. If you end up on a gift card merchandise page, select Gift card history, sign in,
      then select Gift card history again.

    • Locate the gift card to cancel.

    • Select Cancel > Confirm to cancel the order and get a refund.

    Refund Request     to get in contact with a refund agent to have the gift refunded so you can send it to the correct e-mail.

    This code can't be redeemed. It was purchased in a different region from your account.

    the link you sent only showed me how to refund the game i bought for myself, not the game i bought as a gift. and googling it gets me in circles
