    Getting a error code saying don’t own this game when I have it as my home Xbox


    Hey so first off I have never posted on here so I am new to this I have been game sharing with my friend for 2 months now every time I load up a game it says u don’t own this sign in with owned user the account is still my home xbox and my account is his I can only play if he is not playing and I log into his account then log into mine if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated

    That’s the only way I am able to play any games is when I have his account signed in but is why that just started happening could Microsoft give a home xbox change if he called

    Yes but he doesn’t have another home xbox switch till next year so I don’t wanna change it and not be able to play at all if I deleted the account and re added will it still be my home xbox

    Please perform a powercycle on your console and then check if that fixes the issue.

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​
    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​
    I have done this multiple times to no avail it happened after the servers were down yesterday and there is no more switches for home xbox so I don’t wanna switch it and be locked out even and I also requested one more switch so I can’t ask for another switch

    Seems like you have performed all the necessary steps. Have you tried to ask your friend to remove and re-add his/her account on your Xbox console?
