-makes sense I suppose, but think back.....was there ever a game that critics panned and yet for some reason you liked it anyway?

More often than you would think. Critics panned Lost planet 2- loved it. Critics panned Ryse- loved it. Very often if I want a game, the critics can tell me it's the worst game in history, but I'll still decide that for myself. The only thing these high
scores tell me is that others are enjoying the game as much as I will. I decided after playing the beta last month that this was the year's first 9/10 must own game.
