Generation 10 Level 5o but still using a smart pistol.

Hey people.

I recently got Titanfall and I think it is a great game.

Wish I had got it on release because alot of you have had it a long time and kick my ***.

I realise that playing more will improve my skills but I find myself against teams having 2-3 Generation 10 Level 50 players who stay in a Titan for the whole game.

I spend alot of time taking down the Titans and get owned generally.

I guess I am asking was the matchmaking better when more people were playing?

Oh and I find it stupid that a generation 10 Level 50 player should use a smart pistol because having used it for like 3 minutes its like having training wheels on a grown up push bike.

To sum up I want to get good with the required practice time but getting hamered all game by Titans is not going to help. I would say that taking into account the relatively short time I have been playing that when pitched against people that haven't got
into the 1000's of hours of playing Titanfall I am decent. My parkour has got better especially but I fear I may have missed the boat a bit

Regenerate challenges.

Just did the 75 kills with the smart pistol, only thing smart is not using it!!

 

Titanfall patch now rolling out

Has anyone really had that much trouble with people using the smart pistol? I've only been killed by a few people with that pistol.

 

Well when you get to regen nine their is a pretty nasty smart pistol challenge you have to complete in order to regen. You see this game requires that you do challenges before regeneration. Its not like cod where they give prestige to anyone who plays
a lot. And let me tell you when you get to 10th regen which I am just about their are 2 more challenges and Im done. I'm going to use whatever I feel like using cause I have spent the last several months using exactly what the challenges make you and I
don't care what you think. The only thing I recommend is play more and get better most 8th, 9th and 10th regens are players you don't want to mess with cause they earned it!

 

Matchmaking has always been off, at least for me.

When I was a gen 1, I would constantly get pitted against gen 5s or 6s and my entire team would be gen 1 or 2.

 

I know things are a little messed up. I just hit 10th regen and just like always when i finish a game for some reason I get tired of playing it. I think if they had leaderboards or something to keep me interested I would still be playing, but now I'm bored
and looking for something else to play.

I ran into a situation today that reminded me why I dislike the smart pistol. Guy was in a room above me. I was outside and below the window. Apparently the gun still locked on and he backed up and shot. The bullets went out the window and curved down
and killed me. He could actually not even see me. I tried the smart pistol and it will do that sometimes. Has good range too. That lock on can give away an enemy position that you would otherwise not see.

I played some today. Not really sure why I stopped. I have played enough AW to see Titanfall is a much better MP game. Needed a campaign as I can see massive potential there and would have played it for sure. I know a few who did not like the Titans
but everybody will earn one. You just get it faster doing things. And they are not hard to take down. I do not really get killed by Titans that often at all.

 

Titanfall is a great game I'm just burnt out and currently playing other games. I'm going to skip advanced warfare and wait for the Treyarch cod. I don't care what people use. Now that I'm tenth I have a class for all of my favorite weapons and like to
change it up. I don't care for the smart pistol and usually run with a r-101 assault rifle. Hemlock is a good one also. Set it on 5 round burst and you will kill pilots with one trigger pull.
