Gears Tactics won't install on Xbox Beta

Gears Tactics won't install for me. It seems that a failed installation has left something permanent that prevents installing.

- First installation failed

- Retried it a couple of days later and several time since times since.

- It always gets stuck at the same place after 246.7MB.

- When it installs it gets to 246.7MB instantly , then spins its wheels for a and fails

- Error code 0x803fb107 on Gamepass page and "Code: 0x800704C6" on Windows download page

- Other games install fine. e.g. Gears 5

- My internet connection is fine, see previous point

- I've tried uninstalling the game, Xbox game pass and all Gamepass (Xbox Beta) games, then rebooting then installing. Same thing. Instantly gets to 246.7MB then fails despite having uninstalled both the game and (Xbox Beta)/Gamerpass previously

Is there a cache or registry that I can try clearing?

Something else?

Today I also tried to remote install via game pass App, it does start, but hangs at 246.7mb still.

I officially give up.

I also dont have a VPN, dont know how to do that.

Turning off the VPN is a must. Also I reset the store using admin prompt level cmd and "wsreset", then I started the downloads for both Gears Tactics and Halo from my Game Pass phone app, that finally worked.

Interestingly, though, from my PC MS Store kept thinking I was in Oz, though my IP clearly was not.

I also went a step further to check my list of games in my library and Gears Tactics is no longer in the list. I actually think this is a licensing issue with the app, but I cant understand why. Has anyone tried raising a support ticket with Microsoft
on this? Have you had any progress?

Same Issue for a few weeks now. Done all the different voodoo above, eventually master chief collection kicked in and fixed itself but not so Gears. Also Australian (Rural Victoria, good 100MB NBN connection).

Sea of Theives seemed to update ok. Just Gears and MCC with issue of stopping at a certain point, or just not doing anything at all when you press install in store or xbox app (beta).

God knows what I've done to my PC trying to fix this.
