Gears of War Ultimate still no digital codes!

Gears of War 5 (Standard) will be available on September 10 on Retail, Digital or Xbox Game Pass!

Gears Of War 5 Ultimate Edition will be available on September 6 (This Friday) on Retail, Digital or Xbox Gamepass Ultimate.

Thanks for linking the post! The Gears of War Ultimate Edition promotion was a promotion done back in 2015, before the Gears of War 4 pre-order promotion. While they are a little similar with the rewards, the two promotions are still different as the Ultimate
Edition promotion occurred well before Gears of War 4 was released. As I mentioned in the earlier reply, the Gears of War 4 console bundle included the codes inside the box.

"Physical copies of the game will come with codes for each of the four titles to download via Xbox Live. For those who purchase digitally, your codes will be sent via Xbox Live message – we’ll be sharing more information on digital distribution closer to

After further investigation, we've determined that you are not eligible for the promotion for one of these following reasons:

• You must have played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition while connected to Xbox Live before Dec. 31st 2015. If you played after that date, you will not qualify for this offer.
