Gears of War replacement codes

Hi,

Xbox support told me to post a message here after 24h to get a replacement:

I purchased Gears 4 and got codes for Gears1, 3 and Judgement. Redeeming Judgement worked, but 1 + 3 gives an unexpected error.

I have a reference number for the case and will wait until I get a PM.

got all the codes of the Gears of War games, but my Gears of War 3 code isn't working. replacement code not working either.

I recieved 4 codes via message on xbox one for the gears of war series, all the codes worked except the gears of war 3. I was told to post here for a replacement code. Thanks

 

I managed to get more information:

Seems like more people have problems redeeming Gears 1 although it's unbanned and freely available since July 2016.

The problem is:

Gears 2 is banned and no one in Germany got a code for Gears 2. Everyone got a code for Gears 1 but people have problems redeeming it.

 

I just had a chat with the German support and they confirmed that other people have the same problem. They escalated it to the right people and they will get in contact with me later.

I'll wait with the replacement then because it seems that the codes are valid and there are other issues.

It's a region error but Gears 1 is unbanned since July and Microsoft sent a code, so they know it because they didn't send one for Gears 2 (still banned).

But I guess they didn't fix the backend to redeem the code.

have the same problem here, US account

codes for GOW 2 and judgment works fine but codes for GOW and GOW3 do not

 

OK, Xbox support sent me here to get my codes replaced.

I was planning on buying Gears of War 4. I was wondering if I will receive codes for the previous games 2, 3 and judgement as downloads with the game. I know that the offer was only till the end of 2016 but I have heard some people mention that it is still
available. I will be buying the game from Germany, but my console has a US account. I have heard that some of the old games are banned here in Germany. Do you think I would still be able to download all of them on a US account. Any help will be appreciated.

not sure if this helps but I had the issue of codes for 1&3 not working, saying I needed to "change language region". After contacting support they told me to change the region on my console to Spain, as its where i live..didnt work so i changed back. Then
i went to xbox.com and found somewhere in account settings "360 account region" I changed this to Spain (console still on UK region) and the redeem codes suddenly worked.

 

my current console is xbox one s. Not sure if this makes a difference or not

 

well first your account region must reflect your actual region

And yes the console language musf match your actual region

Region independence is an Xbox one feature not bc games
