Gears of War redeem code is wrong region

Xbox Promotions, I can not redeem the code!!! Just saying something wrong, I have other code for Gears of War 2 and it works fine!!!

The problem is Gears of War 3

Yes that's correct.becauae gears of.war 2 doesn't have an Ban in certain countries

Your acco@t region must reflect your actual region

You must use th tool if you want to use gears 3

I can't use the region migration tool because as I said above it doesn't work. It gives this error, when I try to "switch" to UK - and has done it every time for the last 3 days I have tried it:

I went to geoiptool.com, it shows my IP as being in the United Kingdom.

Getting seriously frustrated with this - I bought a console from Amazon in the UK, all my regions are UK, what's the fix?

Because gears of war 2 isn't region lockedlocked gears 2 is only banned in 3 countries Germany Japan and china
Only gears 1 and 3 are

As suggested by supported you should use the tool

Gears region locks are triple region locks

Account region

Actual region

And language region along with console

All have to match and yes the tool is the only way to fix it

Now if you are using an google dns or a vpm also turn them off and use your native dns as they would give your a false reading

I'd you are using sky broadband or Virgin contact them and explain to them your geoip maybe wrong

You might want to run a traceip to check that

Google dns or a vpn or a bad gateway which sometimes happens with Virgin can mess with geoio

Clear browser cache and delete cookies then try again if you are using chrome use Firefox or ie

Your account region may not be uk

Your actually have to check Commerce.microsoft.com for your actual region of your account

If you switch between the US and UK it can cause problems or you haven't been totally set to uk

The migration tool doesn't work either - I can only presume because trying to migrate to "united Kingdom" where I already am is a pointless exercise. I went to the commerce.micosoft.com website, looked up my profile, and unsurprisingly that too says United
Kingdom.

Clearly there *is* a region attached to the code, because why else would one code work and the other one does not? Both were sent in the very same message - Redeem code 1 for Gears of War doesn't work with all the errors above, redeem code 2 for Gears of
War 2 did.
