Gears of war 4 other 4 games bundle codes won't work.

I bought gears of war 4 and it comes with the codes to get GoW, GoW2, GoW3 and GoW Judgment. I'm stationed here in Sasebo Japan, I'm in the navy and bought the game from the NEX here on base. When I try to redeem the codes it says I need to change my language
in settings, but I have it set to English because that's the only language I know. Also the game is the US English version game.

I talked to a Microsoft help chat person Shara and she said to post here to let you guys know because she said you guys can fix it and its a problem many people are having.

Gears of War Downloads

I bought Gears of War 4 as a bundle with the older Gears of Wars and was able to redeem the codes for Gears of War 4 and Gears of War, but the notification with the other codes disappeared after downloading Gears of war. I have the purchase ID and Gears
of War 4 Redemption code if you need them.

 

Gears 2 code doesn't work

I received my Gears collection codes on 10/25/16 for purchasing the gears of war 4 Xbox 2TB bundle. All but the gears of war 2 code does not work.

 

In order to download the games, your account region and your physical location have to match and you have to be in a region where the games are available. Those games are not available in Japan so you would not be able to download them until you are back
in the US.

 

I'm stationed here for 3 years.. I'm in the navy.. and I bought it here.. how is that fair to the U.S consumers here?

 

You still haven't to abide by the rules and regulations of your host country and yes the Games are banned in that region

Your only option would be to wait till you are back in the us or ask your base commander for a dod connection which is at the discretion of the commander as far as I know this only applies in Afghanistan because they have a us connection

 

and you would have to.use Japanese while in japan

Games like gears are region and language specific

Region independence only applies to Xbox one games

I wanted to hop in here and let you know that while our amazing Ambassadors are correct, you should still be able to redeem the codes if you are on base. They generally have VPNs set up to make it look like the IP addresses are coming from the US, and this
should let you redeem the codes from
the website.

If that doesn't end up working for you, then the unfortunate situation is that you will have to wait. The codes should not expire before you get back to the states. Because we are unable to support any region mismatch issues, I'm going to lock down this
