Gears 5 won't install

    Gears 5 won't install


    For some reason, Gears 5 won't work on Win10 (trough Game Pass). Here's what I already tried:

    - At first the game installed just fine, but it wouldn't boot. Every time it gave a message that the service was being worked on and I should try again later. Since it showed the message every time, it gave me the option to stop displaying the message. After
    I chose it, it just quit the xbox app.

    - So I tried deleting the game and reinstalling it. But now it won't install anymore. I click install, it seems to start downloading but immediately stops downloading

    - I already tried wsreset, but sadly to no avail.

    - Other game pass-titles work just fine, so it isn't a subscription issue

    - Specs: Ryzen 7 3700x, rtx 2060, 32 GB RAM and an abundance of disc space, so that isn't the issue.

    Thanks, but as I already replied: windows is up to date. Anyway, I managed to solve it myself.

    As it turns out, the Xbox-app didn't really remove the game altough it told me to install it. That's why it immediately stopped the install-process every single time. Apparently, the (hidden) game was waiting on an update that wasn't pushed trough the xbox-app
    but trough the windows-store.

    Once I installed the seperate Gears 5-update, the play-button magicly appeared in the xbox-app and I was good to go. I presume Microsoft didn't intend it to work this way, but I'm glad I'm finally playing the game.

    Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places, but I can't seem to find any related error messages in the windows event viewer.
