    Gears 5 unplayable on xbox series X


    Have reported this but posting here maybe some one has a solution. Whe trying to play gears 5 on series X iget the message...error this content is still installing. Has been apparently installing for two days. I have left on to see if something is downloading but no change. I have uninstalled, made sure that there was not anothe copy on external. So far none of the updated games work on my series X.

    Xbox Series X compatability

    Microsoft introduces "Smart Delivery" with the Xbox Series X, which means, that if you own an existing game (like Minecraft in your example, or Gears 5) or a new game comes out for Xbox One and Xbox Series X with improved graphics on Series X, you won't
    have to buy the game twice.

    With Smart Delivery you will play the "enhanced" version on Series X, and the "normal" version on Xbox One.

    I know that Series S can't use the XIX enhancements. I'm asking if the Series X

    Yes, why wouldn't it be? Faster processor, graphics and more RAM (16 GB). I did already state in my previous reply that Series X will play X1X enhanced titles.

    Digital Foundry (a popular YouTube tech channel) have shown a video of Gears 5 running on Series X.

    Not only was Series X running the X1X Gears game, the developer has enhanced it again for Series X.

    The only crashes I've been getting are on gears 5 both one x and series x consoles. I currently did a saved data wipe to see if that will fix it. So far no problems

    Hi,

    All of your Xbox One games will work on a Series X. Games that have been 'Optimised' for Series X/S, such as Gears 5 get a free update to download.

    Any digitally owned Xbox One games will also be available to download on the new console with no charge, you just need the same account you used for your Xbox One.
