Gears 5 not connecting in-game

I was having trouble last night staying connected to the Gears 5 servers on both PC and Console. Since I was doing solo campaign stuff I didn't bother to dig into it. (I was too tired to try that hard)

The game just came out, mainly for early access people, and will be slated for the entire public release on the 10th I think... so the servers must be swamped. That's the most likely reason the connection is bad for you. I'm sure its one of those Day One
videogame problems that are very common with big online games. I'd recommend going through all your internet settings and making sure everything is working properly and that you have Xbox Live where it applies (I'm not too familiar with how PC Xbox games work)
and just wait it out. You should also see about going to the Gears 5 website and posting a report ticket so the devs can look at it as soon as possible and see if it is the servers or just a personal issue. My personal opinion is its server issues being overflowed,
as a lot of people are having similar connection issues both online and in the campaign.

Hi, my cousin has a similar problem that you are describing, no errors, Can connect to xbox live through the pc and can play gears 5 fine on his xbox one.

It is simply not letting him connect to online services with Gears 5, he can play the campaign though. Any thoughts as to what it could be?
