Gears 5 gamertag already taken

Hi.

I opened the game for the first time on Steam. it wanted me to join with xbox live account. So I did create a new outlook account in game, changed my gamertag and started to play. After a while I stopped and then tried to play again. I opened the game and
it showed me different gamertag which I'm using right now. "" but I changed already that I first opened the game. I'm trying to add it as a friend to check if its really taken but there is no result on search.

Now I can't even change on xbox's website because it says its already taken.

Sorry, but no. If the gamertag is already in use on the system, there is no way to request it. The tag system is also in use on other Microsoft services so even if it isn't being used on the 360, it could be in use somewhere else.

You can if the system says it taken it is taken

fyi macintoshplus is the same as macintosh plus

also you cant do a complete search as gamertags are used accross games for windows and zune

and zune doesnt take friend requests

when you search a name on xbox.com it only look at xbox accounts not accross all 3 servers

You will have to be more creative

or its a reserved name
