Gears 5 causing headset microphone to stop working in Discord

Hello, i have an issue with Gears 5 on PC for steam where it causes my mic to stop working in discord, i can still hear everyone but they cant hear me, the only way to fix this it seems, and its only a temporary fix, is to switch it to default (my input
device) and then i can be heard again, but then it will stop working again after about 20 mins and then i switch it back and the cycle repeats, it seems to be after and during any loading screens, this does not happen anywhere else only when im playing Gears
5, ive uninstalled my audio drivers and updated them to the latest ones (as well as pretty much all my drivers in general), ive disabled all other playback/recording devices that might be interfering and ive given my microphone maximum priority and the issue
still occurs, i know of at least 1 other user that has this issue as well so i was wondering if there was some sort of fix for this and if not at the moment, did you guys have some sort of upcoming patch for this? thank you in advance.

Microphone in question is: Turtle Beach PX22

edit: just realized this is posted in community but if anyone feels like forwarding me to a place where i can ask the microsoft support (i cant seem to find the option for it) about this/sharing their insight on the subject that would be most appreciated.

I have been playing around with random ideas, i own both pc from steam and xbox.

Try disabling the HD texture pack- i cant tell you the reason why, my game runs perfect on both, but from disabling the hd texture pack, my xbox voicechat no longer disconnects in loading screens or resets my default audio setting which doesnt mess with discord
either.

I'm having the EXACT same issue. I have posted this same question on the gears forums, and on the gearsofwar reddit. I have not found a solution yet besides doing exactly what you currently are. I have tried everything imaginable and nothing works. This
is not a "fix discord audio" problem like M3tal Daz3 suggests. It seems like Gears 5 is trying to override our default sound settings and its causing mic disconnect issues. We need a real solution! Please!

Yo i fixed mine by just unplugging the power to the base station and plugging it back in when the game decides to override my default.

Try to reset the voice settings on
Discord 1) Click the Settings icon on
the homepage of Discord. 2) Click Voice & Video, then Reset Voice Settings. 4) Reconnect
your microphone and try to send an audio message on
Discord to see if your Microphone works.
