Gears 5 Campaign progress steam to Microsoft Store version

Hi there,

So, I played about 2/3 of the campaign of Gears 5 on steam but have recently purchased the X Box Live Game Pass for PC. Despite using the same Microsoft account in both versions and my achievements carrying over, my campaign progress seems to be lost and
I am unable to continue at the same point I left the steam version in the Game Pass version.

Is this the way it is then? Replaying it all again? Or is this something I can fix, e.g. somehow carry over my steam campaign saves or chapter progress?

(I have already linked my steam account to my X Box Account and enabled cloud saves on both)

Hi there, i also have the same problem on pc can you please explain how i can resolve it? I also started again from the start and although im on act 3, the game has not saved any of my players progress re xp and so on. Its saving the game but none of my
other progress. Please can you help?

Gears 5 through steam and gears 5 through the microsoft store are two different version.

It seems that if you run the Steam version,your progression carries over (while using the same Microsoft account) but unfortunately not the Campaign DLC.
