All,

Please be advised this issue only impacts the Co-Op Campaign of GoW4. Horde and other MP modes should function fine.

When attempting to play GoW 4 Coop whichever player is not the host ends up seeing a client timeout error.

This happens regardless of which player in the Coop session is the host, without fail the non-hosting player 'times out".

This has been reported since launch on the Gears forums at: Gears of War - Official Site

To date there is no official fix for this. The users of the gears forums recommend forwarding an extensive list of ports to forward on your router, after setting a static IP for your XBONE. After several rounds of customer support asking me to hard reset
my device, delete and re-install, etc they refuse to acknowledge the issue is the software itself.

As of my most recent conversation with support (2 Aug 17) they do not seem to believe this is a real issue.

As such I'm asking anyone who has/had this issue to please reply to this thread demonstrating to support that it is an ongoing persistent issue that has locked out one of the primary selling points of the game.

Syndicate, really? I beat that co-op but it was short, pretty dull.

Max Payne 3 doesn't have co-op, yet.

Forza 4, is there co-op racing?

Thank you for replying George. That description is for Gears Ultimate. I am playing Gears 4 and Gears 5 on PC. They both have local CO-OP on the campaign. Any idea how to fox the controller issue ?

ok, so your on co-op. reverd dragon comes down and you both work hard to kill it. who gets the loot?

The best way for this to be resolved is that both players in the Co op have a joint inventory... this way neither has the advantage of getting to the dragon first. That way each player is truly cooperating with their play partner.

On Gears of War 3, my biggest gripe was that there was never enough ammo available for a full 4 player coop, especially on insane (yes I am not a great aim).

There are certainly elements of Skyrim that could lend themselves very well to a coop, like puzzle solving and battles but other parts, such as free world exploring could be more problematic. An idea would be to create a DLC that was specifically designed
for Coop.
