Okay does anyone else remember watching T.V while gaming out?

If so why’d they take that feature out I miss watching T.V while gaming online/offline

Who we are:

TG was created in November 2004 to bring together like-minded gamers from around the globe and from multiple platforms, to provide them Head Quarters (web site) where they can share their backgrounds, experience, and interests in teamwork and tactics.

What we do:

We do everything from pvp to survival to creative. We have several members who are wonderful builders and have no problem teaching builds if someone is interested. We have some members with faction maps (faction maps are not played during practice times)
and even some pvp maps (capture the flag type game and several arenas), but survival and creative are the two big things we usually do during practices. We also have challenges for squads to compete against each other.

How we are run:

Our rules and ranks stem from military rules and ranks. We have a Chain of Command (CoC) that we follow if we have a problem, question, or concern. We do not allow profanity, and have an age limit of 16 (although in Minecraft Division we
have younger members), and we require you to have a mic (if you have none at the time of joining we allow a week to get one). When you join your TG name must match your GT, this is part of how we identify members between the choosen platform and the site
without confusion. After joining and being accepted you are sent an e-mail (active e-mail is a must for first signing up as well as receiving messages about various happenings in TG), with that e- mail is the link to a boot camp test that must be completed
within five days (can be taken as many times as necessary). The test is basically an open book (links are provided at certain points to documents during testing), and are there to ensure you understand TG rules.

Within every Division (each game has a division) it is broken down by Brigade (platform) and then by Battalion (two separate practice times for people around the world). First Battalion is mostly North and South America and Second Battalion is mostly
Europe. 1st Battalion mandatory practice times are on Wednesday and Sunday at 8:00 - 10:00PM EST. 2nd Battalion mandatory practice times are Wednesday and Sunday at 7:00 - 9:00PM GMT (9:00 - 11:00PM GMT for non EU). There are also optional practices that
vary from squad to squad.

You mean the snap feature, that feature was removed due to a problem with it causing crashes, and not being stable on the OS.

 

This was a good feature but the constant issues with it crashing pretty much ruined the feature.

 

I hope they would bring it back one day but idk

 

It was also removed because it pretty much only worked in the good ol US of A.

let me explain, in the UK and Europe and other parts of the world we run on the PAL system, which means that our TV screen refreshes at 25hz (think 25fps) in the US I believe its 30hz (30 fps) the problem starts when you start to overlay a 25fps image (like
a snapped TV broadcast) over a screen that is at 30hz or even 60hz. What happens is that the TV broadcast looks like its skipping slightly as more frames are having to be put into the picture, I only used this feature a couple of times and then never used
it again, I mean whats the point, if I'm playing a game I want to concentrate on the game, not the game and TV or a movie.

 

Snap was a great feature when the console first launched. But I did have several issue with it my self so I rarely used it for TV and other thing.

 

Yeah I remember, but it caused lots of crashes. It was a great feature. I hope they are working on bringing it back though.

 

The snap feature was too hard on the Xbox and thus resulted in may issues. I'm sure in the future when the technology is ready to advance we'll be able to do simutanoelusy with little interruption.

the alternative is you can have two TVs. One to watch and the other to game on side by side. Just like a dual monitor setup for a PC but even bigger.
