Gaming Services seems to just not want to be fixed

Hello, this has been going on for several weeks now, and I seem to be unable to install new games on Xbox Game Pass or open ones I have installed, which has been an incredibly frustrating experience for me. I have looked up many solutions and tried them all, from deleting the files containing Gaming Services to reinstalling Xbox Game Pass itself many times. When it opens up the Microsoft Store, it shows the Gaming Services page but it doesn't allow me to install it, showing NO buttons for installation, only reviews and description of it. I have done seemingly every solution posted on various forums and I'm becoming incredibly frustrated. I have repaired and reset Gaming Services more times than I can count.

I originally had Error 0x8007139F but after doing one of the Gaming Services resets it now shows Error 0x00000001, and I have tried resetting it again and reinstalling the package through PowerShell multiple times but it did nothing.

I have updated literally everything on my PC multiple times as well as turned it off and on multiple times every day, and I'm pretty much at the end of my rope and the list of solutions, and I feel like I'm going mad. Is there anything at all possible to try reinstalling it short of just reformatting my entire computer?

I would appreciate any help I can get!

    :)

    Thanks for the update!

So, right now it seems that everything is working as expected?

Feel free to share extra feedback if necessary

Just tried that and it's still showing.

However, I'm now able to open and install games without any issue, so I guess something happened when I did the in-place upgrade. I will update if anything changes when I turn my computer off and back on or something

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.
I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today despite this Cleveland

Usually when you uninstall gaming services via powershell command :

    Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

Once you restart the PC and open the the Xbox application. A blue banner with the following message appears: "This app needs an extra component. Gaming Services is needed for playing some games. Administrator approval required. Install"

If you try that, Xbox app doesn't show you the message?

My day's going okay, and I thank you for your quick response!

No it doesn't, and in fact, in PowerShell, when I copy it into PowerShell, it just gives me this message:

remove-appxpackage : Removal failed. Please contact your software vendor. Deployment Remove operation with target volume C: on Package Microsoft.GamingServices_4.67.21001.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe from: failed with error 0x80070002. That's strange, did you have a business/education windows edition or something similar?

If that's not the case, please try doing an in-place upgrade for your system (don't worry your content will remain)

After that, try the powershell command
    Usually that does the trick
