Gaming Services/other apps not installing on Microsoft Store

I have an HP All-In-One 24 with Windows 11. I was trying to download Roblox from the Microsoft store, and it would not download, it would start, and then a

minute later say there was some error and it would ask me to retry. No matter how many times I retry, it won't work. I searched the internet and found that opening

PowerShell and this would help:

"Get-AppxPackage *roblox*

If you get something in return, type the following and hit enter after.

Get-AppxPackage *roblox* | Remove-AppxPackage."

It did not help. First, I got nothing in return from the first command, and after the second, I received this:

Remove-AppxPackage. The term 'Remove-AppxPackage.' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file,

or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and

try again.

This method did not work, so I tried another, which involved reinstalling Gaming Services. I had to run these commands:

"get-appxpackage Microsoft.Gaming Services | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN"

However, when I tried reinstalling Game Services, it stayed on downloading, not progressing at all, for what seemed like forever, before finally saying that there was

an error and asked me to retry.

Nothing is working. Please help.

I can see you must be very frustrated with all this.

These instructions are meant to get gaming services reinstalled on Windows 10/11:

1. Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.

2. In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter: get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

3. In the same window, type the following command and press Enter: start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

4. Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

5. Restart your device and try to install the game again.

Hey Rob, thanks for replying.

Well, I ran those commands in PowerShell... But when the store opened up on the Gaming Services page, I tried to install it, like you said, however, when I pressed the install button, it went to pending and stayed there... Seemingly endlessly. The white circle spinning forever. It won't install. Therefore, I couldn't select yes to the UAC prompt, since I didn't even receive it. I am beginning to see why Gaming Services has a rating of 1.6 stars. Nothing will install! I don't get it! Almost 95% of the ratings are one-star, talking about how it won't download! Why won't Microsoft solve this? It is imperative that they do because it's impossible to install any other game without it! Even right now, it is still on pending and it's been 15 minutes!

i am signed into microsoft store and the xbox app with the same account, my windows 11 and xbox app is up to date, i have used wsreset.exe on the microsoft store numerous times now, i follow each wsreset with an attempt to download gaming services either through the xbox app, or through microsoft store using the gaming services page i can access by putting the "start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN" command in powershell. none of these solutions have solved the problem, downloading from the xbox app still does nothing and the microsoft store still freezes the second i click install on the gaming services page. i cannot update gaming services because it isnt installed, i still cannot get it to install.

For clarification i am not having issues with updating gaming services, i am having issues INSTALLING gaming services. i was having other issues with gaming services before hand and the fix i followed involved uninstalling and reinstalling gaming services, the problem is that i cannot re install gaming services, NOT that i cannot update it. i do not have the app installed and i am trying to install it. reinstalling gaming services is quite literally the last step in the fix of the previous issues, but now i have a different one. (not being able to REINSTALL gaming services)

No pending updates, ran the command in powershell and rebooted. Same error when trying to install game services. Or any other microsoft store app update for that matter.
