Gaming Services is Terrible and Doesn't Work

I see, I can advise you other things in that case:

A.

Press Windows button and type Services

On Services App from the list of results, press right-click and run it as administrator

Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

IP Helper

Xbox Live Auth Manager

Xbox Live Game Save

Xbox Live Networking Service

Gaming Services

And do this with each of the services listed above:

Right-click over the service and select Properties.

Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic (if not, change it to automatic)

If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services

Restart your PC and try again

B. Can be a bit odd but if you have installed Halo in the D: drive or a different drive than C: move the game to the C: drive and try again

But if you only have the C: drive, try creating a new NTFS partition using some of the free space in your drive

After that go to windows settings > system > storage > advance storage options (this only if you’re on Windows 11) > where new content is saved

Under apps select this new partition / drive

Restart the PC, move the game to the new partition and try again

I don't even get an error code, it installs, says it's done and complete and once I get on the Xbox app it repeats the same thing, "Download Gaming Service," I've done it 3 times in a row after it kept asking and still repeats the same issue, it's obviously being installed or updated on my computer but the Xbox app treats it like Gaming Services doesn't exist at all which is the crux of the issue

What error code are you receiving when you try to install a game using the Xbox app?

In the meantime let’s try to isolate the problem a bit more:

A. Open task manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there temporarily
Restart the PC and try again

B. Do a clean boot in your PC and try again

To be honest, we already tried basically everything from your side :c

Right now the best option is perform a custom installation for windows.
