Hi! My keeps waking up extra early (4 AM) on weekends to play his PC. I was wondering if there was a way to make it so that the PC won't turn on until 9 AM so that he will quit waking up so early to play the console.

    :)

Hi Hillary, my name is Oskayra and I would be happy to help.

Yes, there are several ways to make the PC not turn on until 9 am. weekends. Here are some options:

    1. Use Windows Task Scheduler. Windows Task Scheduler allows you to schedule tasks to run at a certain time. To schedule the PC to shut down at 9 a.m. On weekends, follow these steps:

    Open Task Scheduler.
    Click "Create new task."
In the "Create Task" window, select "Scheduled Task."
On the "General" tab, enter a name for the task and select a run frequency. In this case, select "Run once" and specify "09:00" as the start time.
In the "Actions" tab, select "Start a program."
In the "Program/script" field, type "shutdown.exe."
In the "Arguments" field, type "-s -t 0."
    Click "OK."

    2. Use a sleep timer. There are many sleep timers available online. These programs allow you to schedule the PC to shut down at a certain time. To schedule the PC to shut down at 9 a.m. On weekends, follow the instructions of the program you have chosen.

    3. Modify PC power settings. You can modify your PC's power settings to automatically turn off after a period of inactivity. To do so, follow these steps:

    Open the Settings app.
    Click "System."
    Click "Power & Battery."
In the "Auto power off" section, select "Shut down."
In the "After" field, type "720" (which is 12 hours).
    Click "Save Changes."
With any of these options, the PC will automatically shut down at 9 a.m. on weekends, which will allow you to sleep more.

Here are some additional suggestions to stop your partner from waking up so early to play on the PC:

    1. Talk to him about the problem. Explain that it bothers you that he wakes up so early on weekends.

    2. Offer to play with him at other times. If you like gaming on PC, you may be willing to play at other times of the day that won't bother you.

    3. Suggest other activities that you can do together on the weekends. Maybe you can find other activities that you enjoy together that don't require you to wake up early.

^Not to mention even the OP stated that the Xbox sees the TV as an open running app and won't shut down automatically. "Just using that" won't work.
