gamesharing gamepass ultimate not working

So I just bought the series s and my friend had the Xbox one and we decided to gameshare since he has gamepass ultimate we did all the steps I end up getting access to the gamepass ultimate games but it won’t let me play online how do I fix this problem I have tried restarting hard reset and everything and nothing is working

Keep in mind the xbox gamepass ultimate must be on her account and can't be gameshare for xcloud to work

Cloud is a subscriber perk only

To my knowledge he is not gamesharing with anyone else that has Gamepass Ultimate.

This can be a bit odd, but may I know if you tried joining to your friend's family group or vice versa if Home Xbox is enabled for his profile in your console?

Ok what are you trying to do play in cloud or just regular multiplayer

If cloud then no only the subscriber can roam
