Games with gold not working with 3 month code

I have a 3 month gold code just redeemed today, yet I'm still being prompted to join now when I try to see free games. I know it should work with 3 month code, and I have no suspensions on my account. Why is this not working?

I'd stay away from it. If you already have a Gold membership, I don't think it will work for you anyways. The 48 hour codes come in a lot of games, and I've never heard of anyone selling them. A 3 or 12 month card, yeah, but not a 48 hour code. It's not really worth much of anything. Also if you give him money, and he give you a code, who is to say that the code will even be good? If you don't have Xbox Live Gold and want to try it out, I'd suggest just paying for a month on the marketplace or getting a 3 month card at the store.

 

Hi, looking at your Gamercard here it shows you as a Silver member, did you maybe redeem the code on another account ?

 

Thats weird cuz on my account> subscription page it shows my gold status. I even logged onto another xbox and I get the same join now and play box, instead of the games with gold box.

 

Are you sure it's a 3month code not a 14 day trial?

 

Positive, this was a bday gift from a friend. Like I said on my account page I can clearly see my gold status as well as the expiration date, 3 months from now.
