Games with gold Multiplayer

For both the Gears of War & Assassin's Creed, I downloaded them and tried mutiplayer, but they both come up with an error message of the disc being unreadable. I tried to delete and reinstall but it still doesn't work. Any solutions?

I can't speak for the disc read error (you can try deleting the game then clear the cache and restart the console before redownloading). However, in order to access online multiplayer features of both games you need to have an active Gold membership

 

I do have gold membership, and I have tried doing the above but to no avail. The fact that they are digital copies but only the multiplayer portion is corrupt, while the singleplayer works perfectly baffles me.

You are clearly showing as silver, you need to check if you have any billing issues.
