Games with gold game doesn't work after the game was removed from gwg

Hi, I recently got dead island on games with gold and me and my friend were having fun on it. The game was working perfectly fine until it was replaced in gwg with different titles. The game now says that we don't own the game even though we both installed it and should keep it. We both still have game pass ultimate it has not ran out. This is very frustrating because we wanted to finish the game together and we don't want to spend money on a game we should now own. I tried uninstalling but once i did that i cannot get the game again, the microsoft store just tells me to buy the game. If there are any fixes to this please tell me. Thank you

Dead Island was recently part of the Free Play Days, not Games with Gold. So it was only free to play for those days, not free to keep. You would have to purchase the game if you want to continue playing it.

For me personally, when I've had this happen, I've went onto the Xbox app on my phone and found the free Game with Gold, either under the Games with Gold section or by manually looking the game up in the Store, where it should show as "free" to download
through GwG. You can try to get the game there, and then push it through to be remotely installed on your Xbox. If that doesn't work, you can find the game in the Store on the Xbox after you've gotten it through the app, and it should let you Install it from
there as it should recognize that you already have the game.

If you haven't downloaded the game before, in GwG. So maybe you will be able to download the game sometimes. Maybe in GwG this game will be.

If you have a GwG game, you only have to have a gold membership. To play GwG games.

This does not show on the Xbox One under Games and Apps, and also, none of the Games with Gold show under commerce.microsoft.com. The game was not purchased. It was a free Games with Gold. Apparently Microsoft doesn't train their support staff on this as
the chat rep. was also confused by GWG.

Xbox 360 and older titles will no longer be offered as games with gold titles

Xgpu includes.but doesn't allow you to on free downloaded Xbox 360 games

The email is talking about the discontinuation. Of the 360 gwg program.not.the bc program which ended a year ago
