Games with Gold disappearing ?

Some background first : I own a Xbox 360 and am Gold subscriber since 2009. I have the old fat 120 gb Elite model. Region : Canada

I have downloaded a good amount of games and DLC throughout the years and, by the time the GWG promotion came up, my hard drive was pretty much full. So I had to pick & choose which games to "fully download" and which one to "download & cancel" and keep
them in my download history in order to download them again when there would be place on the hard drive, or when I would finish up previous GWG.

That storage problem came to an end this December when a friend sold me his Xbox 360 and I had a second drive. I could finally download all those GWG I couldn't before. I went back through my download history and made the list of all GWG titles I had
"purchased" so I could download them again and noted their file size. I downloaded all the titles I could in December with my remaining bandwidth balance left remaining for the month, and I would do the same again one month later in January.....

....which leads to the current problem.

As I began earlier today to download all the GWG with my remaining bandwidth available for January, I have noted that several games seem to have disappeared. Notable titles would be : XCOM : Enemy Unknown, Forza Horizon,F1 2013, Dirt 3.... and that
when I decided to post this message.

Is it normal for so many titles to have disappeared form the marketplace in only a month ? They were all Games With Gold that were ready to download just four weeks ago -- they had to be available in order to see their file size. Is it only a temporary
problem ?

Let's see... Disappearing peacekeepers, disappearing digital camos, now disappearing attachments. I kind of expect this stuff to happen with a Treyarch game.

 

Disappearing Gold

I used to have over 800k gold bars. After adjustments were made that addressed the game freeze problem, my gold bars were reduced to a negative 300k and each time I solve a puzzle the balance decreases further. There are many players having the same problem
as voiced in the discussion section of this forum. Your due diligence in fixing this problem would make the player happier.

Let's see what we can do to help you out here.

Since you indicated that you got a new Xbox 360 and hard drive, you'll want to do a

license transfer so that the new console recognizes your entitlements. After you've done that, if you still don't see your games in your download history, try
this link. You should see all your purchases listed here and if you click 'Add to Queue' they should show up in your Active Downloads on your Xbox 360 console.

Looking through my download history via the website and adding the titles to the queue has worked and they are currently downloading at the moment. The problem was that all of these titles were gone from the Xbox live marketplace. Some only had
the DLC / themes / avatar items available to purchase, and some of them didn't have anything to offer at all except for the "rate" option along with the preview pictures. They weren't available to download through the website either and selecting
them through my download history via the console gave me errors popping up ( I haven't taken note of the error code though )

While we're at it, another question about tGames with Gold : While browsing through the list of all GWG released, I realized that I missed some titles that were previously offered......I supposed there is no way to "get back" those
titles if I did not downloaded them ( even partially ) in the past ?

For exemple : I saw that Bioshock Infinite, Assassin's Creed 4 & MGS 5 : Ground Zero were once offered as free GWG . If I did not "bought" those games at that moment, then I'm out of luck on getting them ?

I'm pretty sure that goes without saying, but hey, asking doesn't cost anything ^_^

In regards to XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Forza Horizon - the reason you were unable to find those on the website to add to your download queue is because those games have been de-listed by the publisher and are no longer available. We aren't aware about Dirt
3 and F1 2013 though so we're going to take a closer look at those on our end. Thanks for bringing that to our attention!

Also, unfortunately once a GWG title has passed, there is no way to retroactively obtain the games. Asking definitely doesn't hurt though!
