    GAMES SAVES BACKUP: DARK SOULS TRILOGY


    So after research and reading articles, it seems you cannot manually backup your game save on xbox one x to an external drive for safe keeping. Specifically, I have invested alot of time and effort in Dark souls trilogy, more DS3. I need to backup up this game save in case my xbox fails. I dont want too lose all my progress. It appears this backup is done automatically to xbox cloud as I am always connected and online. Please can someone confirm this is actually true on my xbox one x and I have nothing to worry about in case my console fails. I am hoping this backup is done without me having to set up anything on the xbox. Would even appreciate if someone can also confirm that there is no xbox cloud settings to configure to make sure this backup process is working on the console.

    my 360 is being used only for exclusives and established trilogies and franchises i've already got going on the 360 that i haven't brought over to the ps3, everything else is going to the ps3...so i will obviously be getting dark souls, if i get dark souls,

    You mean the Dark Souls and Forza ones? I can move them, but can't copy. Won't allow you to dupe them. With Skyrim, what I usually do is, just before shutting off at night, I copy my last save to another location as a backup. Until now I had been keeping
    around 7 saves on the flash, cycling through them, and then making a backup once a day to the HDD. But since discovering this, I'm just doing that in the opposite direction, making the backup to the flash. Hope that makes sense.

    Save file corrupted?

    dark souls auto saves, and to quit you need to goto the in game menu and quit, not just turn off the console.

    turning it off can corrupt the save.
