Games running through xbox game pass stop recognizing controller

Hello.

I've been having this issue repeat over the past 2 months and with several games: I would install a game, play it with my xbox one controller and it would work without any problems. I think start playing another game because i want a change of pace. After that, when i come back to the previous game it no longer recognizes any input from the controller. Sometimes a reinstall fixes it temporarily and sometimes it doesn't.

Games I had this issue with include: Nier Automata, Guacamelee, Carrion, Mirror's edge and a few others i've since given up on. Some games that don't present this problem include ori (both) and my time at portia.

I've tried both my original xbox one controller and xbox-compatible controller. I've tried reinstalling the drivers and keeping only a single driver installed at a time. Nothing seems to work and the problem keeps happening. I need help please!

Updating your controller might fix the issue. If you haven't already, please give it a try and let us know if the issue is fixed o not.

Ubisoft+ is not part of Game Pass so it won't recognize those games. It will only recognize the game through xCloud if you purchase the game itself.

Run joy.cpl (Start->Run->joy.cpl). If your game supports the interface there it should work as is. Can you elaborate on what you mean by "controller does not recognize game"? It's actually the other way around, the game needs to recognize the controller.

To expand, The M1 is running anything x86 under emulation, which tends to interfere with secure apps

A PC is not a Mac, and Apple stopped using the x86 architecture that made them compatible

You'll need to run the game through the browser, or purchase a PC or Xbox. You would require a Game Pass Ultimate subscription to stream from the cloud.

Id like to warn you that only the standard controller works with the cloud, no joysticks ,yoke,or pedals at this time during the beta
