Games Pass Ultimate Subscription expires soon. What do I do?

Ok. I bought the ultimate upgrade for a $1 maybe 6 months ago or so without realizing fully what it was. I dont have any complaints it was awesome. My problem is that its about to expire. I dont do monthly subscriptions for anything except my phone. The
3 month cards dont seem like a good deal since id have to worry about it every 3 months. I cant find a 12 month subscription for ultimate. Could I wait for it to expire and then reupgrade a 12mo subscription for gold or gamespass for a dollar or 2? Or does
it only work the first time you do it?

I tried finding this question elsewhere but alot of pages later and no answer.

Please answer the question do you know for sure. Do Not answer around the question or answer a different question that is not this question. If you do not understand the question I am happy to explain further.

It was d a deal for the 1 dollar i would just set the cancel if you dont want it to renew

as of now they do not offer twelve month cards at the moment and you would either have to buy a month for 14.99 as a card or 44.95 for the three months, I had to spend nearly 200 dollars for a full year of ultimate you can always go back to regular Xbox
live once ultimate expires.

Thanks. I'm going to try that. If it doesnt work I'll buy the yearly for both and then do the 3 month passes when they go on sale.

This may be a unconventional answer.. but if you sign up to be an xbox ambassador and help a few people out each day on this very forum you can easily make it to platinum status and earn free game pass codes

It only works for the first time. After that it's the normal price for Game Pass Ultimate $15 for a month.
