Games Pass for PC games data sync stuck at 0% (certain games)

Do you run a 3rd party Anti-Virus program (Avast, Norton, Kaspersky, anything not made by Microsoft)? Or maybe 3rd party gaming apps like Razer? If so, try uninstalling them as, while they may not be the issue, they can create conflicts.

Might be worth running the following command in an elevated command prompt:

sfc/ scannow

That will check for any issues with your Windows and attempt to fix them if there are any

Beyond that, given everything you have done already, I'd personally reinstall Windows...this would give a completely clean platform to see if it then works...it if does, then something was wrong with your WIndows environment...if it doesn't then it would point to an account issue of some sort

Run Windows Update till no more show and restart as told to

Install Graphics drivers direct from the manufacturer of your graphics card (if it's NVIDIA, choose custom install and then deselect the Audio component...has been having issues recently)

Install Gears 4 from GP before installing anything else

Try it and see if that works

Everything is up to date, even not related apps.

Hello,

I want to play two point hospot and in order to start the game data needs to be synced. It keeps syncing at 0 % forever.

Now here's details: windows 10 win 1909. Reinstalled xbox app about 3 times. Network and DNS are fine, as EVERYTHING else works fine. Does anyone knows what exact service is responsible for syncing and what IP (or range of IPs) it wants to connect? Is there
are logs file which logs this (event viewer doesn't) ?

Update: After few hours of digging... I see this is common problem for many users. I tried everything, reinstalling app, games, store, clearing cache, changing regional settings, time zone.... everything except windows reinstall.

Can anyone from Microsoft reply here with resolution which works?

Sorry to hear it. Please double check that there are no pending updates to your PC or the game. You can check for game updates by opening the Windows Store app and click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner then selecting Downloads & Updates

today i bought the ultimate game pass then i went to download gears 5 i downloaded and started it but it was syncing data and it was 0% and when i clicked cancel and not sync the game would load infinitely
