In the past, players have physically tried to update the rosters in their game manually. This is quite tedious and there’s a much simpler way of doing things.

First, you should check if there’s an update to the rosters in Madden 22. This is done by navigating to the home screen and pressing the NFL’s logo, which is the Rosters and Playbooks tab. Once here, you can click on “Update Rosters” to see if there’s an update available to download that makes sure each roster is current to match the NFL.

If there is, then all you have to do is follow the steps to update the rosters, which only involves a small download to Madden 22. However, if there is no update but a star player was just traded, then you can manually update the rosters with the “Edit Roster” button on the Rosters and Playbooks menu.

Rosters are usually updated every week in Madden.

Hi there thank you for replying. There is no roster update , I have the latest roster at least that's what it says when I do that. When I fired up the game the 1st time I went to exhibition and boom there it was 6 real games from the NFL schedule and I was exited and I played them all and that was 3 weeks ago cause I got the 10 day trial and the I started my franchise and then on week 2 which every year for the past 2 the exhibition mode gets updated on Thursday the new scheduled games but still week 1 games so I check everyday no update now week 3 games were played still no update. This happen once before last season during the regular season. I also check patch updates and system updates and nope no updates. Very frustrating cause I really only play storts games and I pay the subscription for game pass to get the live games and roster update and this happens. Thanks again .
