Games Pass App on PC completely non functional.

I hope you are doing well today. Welcome to the Xbox Community. Thank you for reaching out to Xbox Forums. You mentioned that your PC game pass is non-functional. I am happy to help and provide some suggestions on hopefully fixing this problem. Even though you have tried some of my suggestions, let's try them again in this order.

Solution 1:

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. If some Windows functions aren't working or Windows crashes, use the System File Checker to scan Windows and restore your files. Sometimes corrupted files can cause issues.

Solution 2: Reset Windows 10 store & Xbox app

1. Open Settings.

2. Go to Apps -> Apps & features.

3. Look for Microsoft Store/Xbox App and click it on the right side.

4. The advanced options link will appear. Click it

5. Next, click on the Reset button to reset Microsoft Store/Xbox App to the default setting.

Solution 3: Try reinstalling the Gaming Services package on your Windows 10 device:

1. Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
   
2. In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:
   
3. Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers
   

Solution 4: Play games offline on Windows 10 using Offline mode; this error could also be attributed to issues with the Microsoft store not recognizing your entitlement to the game. Then scroll down and click on the drop-down arrow and look at the steps for How to enable offline play on your device

Temporarily disable your security program(s)

False positives occur when your antivirus software incorrectly identifies safe software as malicious. If your antivirus or anti-malware falsely flagged a game, remove the file from quarantine, if necessary, then whitelist the game. To do so, follow the instructions from your manufacturer.

If the games normally launch after disabling your security program, whitelist the game before turning the program back on. To do so, refer to your security software's support website.

Also, make sure you have no current windows updates pending.

Hi, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Kindly try to uninstall and reinstall the Gaming service by following the steps below:

1. In the Windows search bar, type Windows PowerShell

2. In the menu, select "Run as administrator"

3. In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

4. In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

5. Click Install** to install Gaming Services (select Yes if you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt)

6. Restart your device.

If that didn't work, make sure that your Windows OS is up to date by following the steps below:

Settings > Updates & Security > Check for Updates.

Since the Game Pass app for PC is currently in Beta state, a lot of the features that are available are not completely functioning as intended.

So reporting these inconsistencies provides the engineers invaluable information that will allow them to address this matter in a most hasty manner.

I'm sorry for any confusion or turmoil this might have incited.

Guessing the Xbox Beta app combines console companion and the windows store?

Found the functionality I was looking for in the windows store (access to Game Pass PC software).

Just bought the game on steam.
