Games on Game Pass just stop working

We understand your sentiment when launching the game through shortcut as you were having . This is not the experience that Microsoft wishes you to have. As your support advisor, we will work with you to find the best solution to your issue.

Based on your description, launching the games through shortcut ends up blank and it is the contrast of how it is being displayed as playable. To better isolate and know the cause of your issue, we will ask few question:

1. Would you mind posting a screenshot showing the game is playable? Please conceal any personal information.
   
2. May we ask if you can confirm the games to be available in PC Settings > Apps > Apps & Feature?
   
3. If you press the Windows icon, will the games displayed in the start up menu or list of apps/software installed to PC?
   
4. May we ask if the games are stored in Drive C? Or is it on a removable or internal different drive?
   
5. When did this issue happen? Was there a recent Windows update or new application installed on your device?
   

Here are suggested troubleshooting that you can try to perform:

• Please create a system restore point.
  
• Keep PC and Xbox apps(Xbox app, Xbox Accessories, Xbox Game Bar, Gaming Services) up-to-date.
  
• Restart device and disable any antivirus, antimalware, VPN, firewall and PC Optimizer.
  
• Try to launch one game and please update us here by sending us a reply.

The console memory still thinks you had an old game pass subscription which Fallout 4 is now a part of.

Have you tried Power cycling the console:

1. Hold down power button on console for approximately 10 seconds for it to shut off.

2. Unplug console from power supply for approximately 1 minute.

3. Plug back in.

4. Power back up and see if it gives you same issue.

same issue, Xbox support had no answers to a fix.
