    Games not recognizing Xbox gold account


    We just purchased an xbox one that came with a 30 day trial. We downloaded some games. Yesterday we added a year gold live pass. Today we cant access the games as it tells us we need a gold account..

    if i check the account it shows an active gold membership.

    my question is, do i need to uninstall and teinstall the games to have it recognize it?

    After reviewing your account, your Gold subscription for the last three months was a promotional, discounted subscription. As mentioned in the FAQ, promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards:

    Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership, we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member.

    You shouldn't need to. Try holding the power button on the console until it turns off, unplug the console, plug it back in, then turn it back on. Sometimes the system just needs to resync.

    Its not a silver account.... and the xbox recognizes it as gold too

    Bcus i can acces all the gold features as well

    And it gives me all the gold discounts if i manualy search for the games

    Just the gold tab is missing

    And my gold doesnt expire till next month

    Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, as stated in our FAQ:

    We see that you are not receiving Gold Status this month due to your subscription being a promotional Gold subscription for 1 month. Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, so your free 1 month is not eligible. From our FAQ:
