Games no longer launch Xbox games pass pc

I have been playing games through the Xbox app, then I took a break for about a week. I returned to the app and attempted to launch a game, but games will not launch, even games I have played already.

I have followed the procedures listed in the FAQ's tried to launch game from start menu, attempted to repair the game through the app settings, and then I uninstalled the game, which was suggested. But after I uninstalled the game, I can no longer install it,
so great advice.

Navigating this website is a nightmare, I attempted to use the AI chat but none of the prompts took me in the right direction and it eventually just dead ended.

I am giving you until the end of this month to iron out these issues before I cancel.

Well wouldn't you know it, a patch dropped last night and miraculously everything works fine.

I mean troubleshooting 101, you don't change your system, its not your problem.

But overall I would rather have it working than not, so hopefully it keeps working and they don't break it again.

Hope this helps others with the same issue.

@Behemothrex I understand you're frustrated, I get it, but we're just trying to help troubleshoot. We're community members just trying to help.

Are you trying to launch them from the Xbox App or directly from your Start Menu?

Also you mention that this isn't across all games in the service, but those that might have higher system requirements; that would make me want to shift focus from troubleshooting the App or Game Pass for PC service, to troubleshooting your system and configuration.
What graphics card do you have? Would you be willing to run "dxdiag.exe" and let us know version your display drivers are under the Display tab? The important information to compare would be DirectX version, system memory, video or display memory, processor,
and graphics card name and manufacturer.

Again, we're trying to help, I don't work for MS, and have absolutely no dog if you subscribe or not. I'm enjoying the service and having a blast playing titles I hadn't had a chance to play such as The Messenger, Into the Breach, and Slay the Spire. Just
trying to help you have fun.

You can reset the App by going to Settings > Apps > Xbox (Beta) and press the "Advanced options" link and then scroll down a bit and hit the "Reset" button, which will reset the app.

Can you provide some more details on what happens when you try to launch the game? Does nothing happen? Does it start to load and then crash? And how are you trying to launch the games? Directly from the start menu, or from the App itself?

Also, please note that the app is in Beta still, highlighted by the name of the app "Xbox (Beta)". If you have constructive ideas for feedback on how to improve the experience and service, you can do so at the Xbox Feedback site, or directly from the app,
by clicking on your profile icon in the top right and selecting "Feedback".

And how do you do that exactly?

I click on play, the Xbox app minimises and nothing happens. There is no process from The Outer Worlds in the task manager, nothing.
