Games launching with different resolutions

I have a 1366X763p monitor and it cant support anything larger than that. it gives an error saying "INPUT SIGNAL OUT OF RANGE". and for some reason, after i upgraded to windows 11, all the games are running at higher resolution and i see the same Out of Range error. i know that the games do launch because i can hear the intro sound. This was not a new problem for me cause i used to face it in windows 10 as well. and the solution for that was to press Alt+Enter and the game will resize to the resolution of the display. I tried the same in windows 11 but it didn't work. has Microsoft like removed Alt+Enter feature?? I have no idea what to do. So can anyone Please help me?

Are you talking about this Windows shortcut? I believe the new Fullscreen shortcut may be F11? Let me know if that works for you. I use F11 to switch between Fullscreen and Windowed Minecraft. I am not entirely sure if it works across the operating system.

Post launch none of this will matter. What resolution is Titanfall, Ryse, DR3 etc on PS4? Oh, right... Honestly if resolution differences are cancel worthy for you, you should look in to PC. Shy playing these versions side by side or hunting online comparisons
these resolution differences will go unnoticed because frankly, they have no effect on gameplay. Right now pre-launch everyone is having a "my console is better" pissing contest. Insecure people need to justify their purchase, because it is somehow uncool
to enjoy the product in second place?! What you should do is pick the console that has the games you want to play, and have fun.

I don’t know if the resolution is changing when i launch the game. Maybe it changes to a very high resolution

I had a similar issue with the game only launching in windowed mode with no option to change the display resolution in the settings.

Another workaround for this I found was to change launcher_settings.cfg in C:\XboxGames\Fallout Tactics (PC)\Content

The first line is "BinaryPath=BOS_HR.exe"

Changing this to "BinaryPath=TacticsLauncher.exe" allows the Xbox app PLAY button to launch the original game launcher. Launching the game through that launcher allows it to start full screen, the display resolution can be selected in Options again, and the selected resolution is saved after the game is closed.

Hi Charlus. I know that if you are playing BF3 with the high resolution texture pack, you require a HDD. Can you launch the game if you lower your resolution?
