    Ok, so this one is a bit weird to me. first up, im on windows 10, using the xbox beta app, and using the xbox game pass ultimate.

    I downloaded bloodstained: ritual of the night, and tried to play it a day later. the game wouldn't launch. no error message, it just ran the loading icon on my cursor for a split second then nothing happened. I decided to restart the xbox app, still nothing.
    then restarted my pc, still the game wouldn't launch. I uninstalled Bloodstained and tried to reinstall it. it started the install then jumped immediately to 100%, which seemed weird, yeah my internet is decent but not that good. after it it 100% the download
    button on the beta app returned to the install button instead of turning into the play button like it should. tried again, same result. after a few more tries it eventually did a full real install taking a few minutes then errored out at 100% (button turned
    yellow and said "error 100%") error details: 0x8007001f. thats the first real error message I've gotten. tried to install the game on my original hard drive (that holds my os, I have 2 and used my second one for games) because I've heard some games don't like
    to be away from the os. same results. immediate download back to install button several times, then error with same message.

    thing is I know the game downloaded as it's taking up space on both hard drives but I can't seem to find any file locations though I will say it's not making multiple folders as it's only taking up the 8 gigs the game is on each drive, but I've done it several
    times so at least I don't have multiples on a single drive. any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated, thanks either way.

    Hello Megan,

    Thank you for keeping us updated. Is this game a digital download, or a disc game? If it is a disc game, the disc could be faulty if used. Let us know this detail and we will do our best to help you out.

    I would also test out your console to see if it is capable of completing downloads. Cancel the download for the cars game. You can then try downloading a demo, or a free game like fortnite.

    Curious, how long have you let it sit at 40%? I've had games do this occassionally, and I'll see it sitting still when downloading and not progressing. I've honestly just left it and did something else, and came back later (maybe a half hour) and then
    it would be moving a little again. I'm not sure if maybe the specific file it's downloading at that time might be larger or how it works, but I've done that before. I would let it sit for a little bit and see if it moves, but if it's not moving after 30-60
    minutes then yes try more troubleshooting. Good luck!
