Games Installation inquiry

Quick question and just makin sure.

If I'm installing games on my Xbox One console, left it open and set to auto shut off in a few hours, it will just paused the installation automatically and just resume once power back on or it will go back to square one?

Yes, the download will continue normally (digital games download).

This is true but only if you're installing a digital copy or patching the game. If it's from a disc the console will need to remain on.

I would say look at the About power settings on Xbox One support page.

If you were in Energy save mode, your download should pause and resume on start up.

If you switch to Instant On, the Xbox will be in sleep mode when switched off and downloads should continue in the background.

It should not go back to square one.
