    Something weird happen with the Xbox App in Windows 10, i had google it but it seems i can't find the same case just similar ones but without answer, so my Issue is I download a game on this case this has happen me with Age of Empires 2 and 3, Zombie Army 4 Dead War, Halo Collection and Iron Harvest and sometime now always the game say it need and update , and the update is the complete game or is just show error and download the complete game again this is extremely bothersome for game that has a size of 40gb+.

    On my First scenario i have all of this install in an external HDD as i have a little 127 GB M.2 as my base drive, every time the External Drive get disconnect or i start the machine without the drive connect i had to Re Download all he game and even a little trash is left

    On the Second scenario i have an External SSD still the same M.2 as base but same thing happen.

    On the Third scenario i decided that being an external was and issue and Xbox may not have it on his radar for futures update so i change to install an internal HDD with the same M.2 as base, so my secondary drive was the HDD in which i was able to avoid the issue of the machine get lost connection to the drive but now not that often it happens time from time i restart my computer or turn it off for the day and then my game are gone , and they are gone on the meaning i just have not access as the Entry on Xbox App is there just say Update needed or Issue with the game, but the files were not delete so maybe some config do this.

    On my Actual scenario i set up an Internal SSD as my Secondary Drive using the same M.2 as Base but same thing happen

    Any one has encounter this or have some fix to this

    my machine is:

    Core i7 Gen 7 2.8, 32 GB Ram, GTX 1070, M.2 127 Gb as Main Drive, 2 Tb SSD Secondary Drive

    As today posting this i have a support ticket with Xbox , i will update the fix if we find it

    As Extra Info i have try, Format the Disk as NTFS, Factory Reset, Install windows keeping Files, Clean Install of Windows

    And i have config on Windows that all my App , Documents and Download save on the D drive

    and my actual SO is

    Windows 10 Home Edition , 21H1 Build: 19043.1110

    I had done this before, i am on 21H1 , and try doing Factory Reset, Re Install Windows Keeping Files, Do a clean install of windows, Format my Drives as NTFS

    I ask that before trying which solution, check if your windows is using the latest version of the system, which in this case would be 21H1, for that follow the instructions below: Go to settings>system>about. If the system is not using the latest version of windows, update it by windows update.

    *If your computer updates are up to date, please try the solution below.

    Download the Create Windows 10 installation media application from the link below, at the end of the download run the application, and then follow the instructions given by the program at the end click on upgrade. Rest assured none of your files will be lost, this is a system restore that will try to fix this error.

    Try the solution below, and see if the problem will persist in the future.

    1. Open Settings ---> System

    2. In the left column, choose the Storage tab and choose "Change where new content is saved"

    3. Change "New apps will be saved to:" to any desired drive (in my case D drive)

    4. Wait 2 minutes and restart your PC.

    5. The Microsoft Store has now created the necessary folders for the Xbox app to use.

    6. Repeat steps 1 to 3 to change your location back to default if desired.

    7. Now you can download your games from Xbox app to your desired drive/partition

    I also saw that you started a support ticket with Xbox. I recommend that you wait for a response from them, to see if it might be a bug in the app or not.
